1914 – Billy Cook took all 10 wickets!

Paul Kaye has been in touch after seeing our post of the 1932 team which included a photo of his Great Grandad – Billy Cook. Billy played as professional for both Burnley and Lowerhouse before settling as amateur for the House. The photo was only the second one Paul has seen with his Great Grandad in it.

Paul sent in the below photo.

Billy Cook c. 1914. Not sure of the exact date. Photo was given to me by his daughter (my grandmother) along with match ball from his 10 wicket haul

Billy is one of the handful of people to take all 10 wickets in a Lancashire League innings.
