2018 Kit Launch & SPE Furnishings Sponsorship

Lowerhouse Cricket Club are delighted to announce SPE Furnishings as their new main club sponsor for 2018.

SPE Furnishings is the new retail initiative of local Social Enterprise, Spacious Place Engage Ltd. and offers a huge range of Living, Dining and Bedroom furniture with up to 50% off the retail prices. They also provide branded paint at discounted prices as part of the National Community RePaint Scheme. As a Community Retailer supporting the community in which it trades, research into local food poverty inspired the initial concept of SPE Furnishings and all profits are used to develop their community initiatives.

You can visit their website here  and their new website will be launched shortly here

SPE Furnishings Managing Director Mark Hirst commented “This is a fantastic opportunity for us and we are very excited about the possibilities of partnering with such a community focused club. When ethos and values align, partnerships flourish and we are convinced that there are good things ahead for both parties.”

Lowerhouse Managing Director Matthew Stansfield commented “We are really excited about our partnership with Mark, Neil, Dave and all the team at SPE. I have seen their work first hand and they are a great fit for a community focused club like ourselves. We will be working very closely with Spacious Place throughout the next 12 months to ensure maximum benefit to both parties. Our first initiative is bucket collection for the Spacious Place supported food bank at this weekends forthcoming bonfire event”.

With a new sponsor comes a fantastic range of new kit.

This year the club will be using Gray Nicolls whites, Nike training gear and a new coloured Nike Twenty20 kit. This has been supplied through Custom-kit in Lancashire. Details of the club shop and purchasing will be available in due course. The new kit is shown above.

Initially the Gray – Nicolls team wear will be available to order straight away. Junior sizes only go up to 12 years and we are expecting some samples next week to keep at the club of sizes XXS , XS and S for our older juniors.  We are awaiting the latest Nike training wear for 2018. This will be available on the kit launch night in the new year. The new Twenty20 kit will be available to order individually on the kit launch night and will be modeled by our 1st XI on the evening.

Harry Brooks continues his fantastic support from the Harry Brooks Cricket Foundation, and this support is again recognised in the naming of our ground as ‘The Brooks Foundation Ground’ and on all playing kit.

The club are also thankful to Andrew Halstead of Cleanbright who continues his senior kit sponsorship.

Also for 2018 The Lowerhouse CC playing wear will display the “Opening Up Cricket“ charity logo. The Campaign focuses on prevention of suicide. Opening Up Cricket is growing quickly and we are pleased to be contributing to spreading the awareness on prevention of suicide.
Mark Boyns who is the main force behind Opening Up Cricket said “We’re really happy to build on our relationship with Lowerhouse, who have been great supporters of what we do. The hope is that the logo being on the shirts can continue important conversations both within the club and Lancashire League as a whole”
The club shop is open now accessible here or through the link at the top of the page.
