CricHQ for Lowerhouse in 2017: What is it?

The Lancashire League for the 2017 season (and onward) have invested in the CricHQ platform for all league and cup games.

What is CricHQ?

CricHQ manages most aspects of the club and league cricket online, unfortunately for the traditionalists the good old score book is dying out and systems like CricHQ are beginning to become the culprits..

Each teams scorers will now be able to score from their phone, tablet or laptop. This will automatically filter onto the club’s website in live time and in turn update social media for those who can’t make it and follow the games, on Twitter and Facebook. (Saving Frank’s, Adams and Stannys’ fingertips and battery life tweeting every 20 seconds).

This is in place for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams. This will also build scores for the whole league on the site, so as a game day goes on you’ll be able to see updates from other teams, whilst sat watching your own team on your phone and hopefully we will be able to stream the scores from around the league in our bar for supporters.

This is a big step for the Lancashire League, some leagues are already using it and it is massive in New Zealand and Australia. (They’ve even launched video replays over there…) More features will be launched over time

You can check out CricHQ if you are on our website, using the menu to the above under cricket or you can download the app on iPhone or Android and follow the club by searching for the name.

There’s nothing better than watching the cricket in person down at the club, but this will enhance the experience to see other scores, see love averages and form guides and if you are unfortunate enough to go on holiday in the season, follow with a cold beer on the beach. (Or for our supporters overseas in Prague, USA or South Africa to name a few)
