Cricket galore – 3 more games!

The weekend sees Lowerhouse again in action Friday, Saturday & Sunday in three competitions:

Friday

House are back in Twenty20 action as we travel to Great Harwood in the JWL Bitter group for a 6.15pm start, all support most welcome.

Saturday

House First Eleven travel to Norden in the Quarter Final of the JW Lees Sponsored Worsley Cup. Scheduled start time 1.00pm. Postcode is OL12 7SD, please remember the SPECTATOR NOTICE:

Norden CC have asked us to pass on the following match day information to supporters. Due to the Norden Carnival being held on the same day as the Worsley Cup tie at Norden all parking near the ground and for some distance away will be prohibited. On ground parking will be limited to players, officials, and disabled badge holders. Access will be via a signposted entrance off Shawfield Lane. There will also be road closures in place from 1pm to 2 30pm. Catering etc will be available on the ground. We would ask people not to bring large amounts of alcohol onto the ground

Lowerhouse Secretary – Frank Entwistle said

“From a Lowerhouse supporter’s perspective we thank Norden for getting in touch and outlining potential issues the games clash wit the Norden Carnival creates.

Whilst we as Director’s appreciate this creates potential issue for travelling supporters  the message as clear:

Plan to be there early, liaise with friends and family regarding transport and ‘drop off’s where required well in advance off 1.00pm. If you are attending and you may be late , be prepared to walk some way and bear in mind Norden’s request regarding Alcohol.”

House Third Eleven entertain Church at The Brooks Foundation Ground 1.00pm start with bar & tea room from 12.30pm.

World Cup Football:

  • 11.00am France v Australia
  • 2.00pm Argentina v Iceland
  • 5.00pm Peru v Denmark
  • 8.00pm Croatia v Nigeria

Sunday

It’s Fathers Day – spoil your old man with a day of sport at Lowerhouse. Lancashire League action as Lowerhouse Firsts entertain East Lancs CC at 1.00pm. Full Bar & Tea Room from 12.30pm

World Cup Football:

  • 1.00pm Costa Rica v Serbia
  • 4.00pm Germany v Mexico
  • 7.00pm Brazil v Switzerland

Ladies Day: Saturday 25th August from 2pm till late!

  • A glass of prosecco on arrival
  • 3 and half hours of fantastic fun and games with our very own Andrea Pilling
  • At 6 we are joined by the amazing ELEKTRIO the band specialises in 80s music!
  • There is also a first team game on for the fellas who can all join in when the band comes on
