Holt and Heap make Thunder and EPP squads – Meet Our Girls

15 year old wicket Keeper batsman Georgie Holt has been selected for the Kia Super League regional development programme with Lancashire Thunder. The training sessions aimed at the best 14-18 year old girls in the North West of England will give them access to the best facilities and coaches to improve their skills. Well done Georgie!

Also Liberty Heap (13) has been reselected for the Emerging Players Programme with the LCB. Her second year on the programme which is designed to improve and work with 10 girls selected through showing promise in training and match performances.

Annabelle Uttley has made the under 15’s Performance squad having a excellent season with the under 13’s.

Sisters Emily and Kerry Gibbins also continue to show promise, Emily played for Lancashire under 17’s this season and Kerry has been selected for the under 15’s Development side for 2017.

Grace Johnson is another promising young cricketer and has been selected for the under 13’s performance training squad.

Eliza Cottam and Taylor De Vires have also started their cricket journey. The youngsters at the time we go to press have been invited to train before a final under 11’s trial.

Finally we thought it would be a good idea to get to know a bit about some of the older girls. We asked their parents if it would be okay to ask the girls some questions and we will be featuring those interviews for the next 5 days..
