Lowerhouse Cricket Club founded in 1862 is a a founder member of the Lancashire League. For the 2011 season its captain is Charlie Cottam, and the professional is South African Francois Hasbroek. In 2012 the club will celebrate it’s 150th year and it’s 120th year as a member of the Lancashire League.
The club won the Lancashire League for the first time in 2005, captained by Joe Beneduce with Australian Andrew McDonald as professional, having won the Worsley Cup for the first time the year before, captained by Matt Hope and with Kiwi Peter Fulton as professional.
