Jamie moves to Read – Good luck

​The club would like to pass its regards to Jamie Woodall and to wish him the very best as he seeks a new challenge with Read Cricket Club.

As club Chairman I met with Jamie and his dad Chris the other night and we discussed the matter thoroughly.

Obviously we did not wish to lose Jamie but fully understand his reasons for wanting a new challenge at a good club where the prospect of first team cricket is just the challenge that Jamie is relishing.

Jamie has been with the club for over a decade and we thank him for his services to the club as a player and a captain. He will of course be missed but we look forward to seeing him back at the club over a pint.

For those wondering, younger brother Ben is staying at the club, as, and I quote “Especially there is now one less spinner “. That’s the attitude Ben 🙂

Jamie will of course be teaming up with ex Lowerhousers Matt Walker (pro) and Ben Gorton.
