Moorhouse’s Celebrate 15,000 with “Bleazard’s Brilliance”

Christopher J Bleazard was born 22nd May 1967 in Burnley, Lancashire.

The quiet unassuming school teacher has been an integral part of Lowerhouse Cricket Club’s senior side since his debut in 1983.

666 games later which span 30 years and Chris has now completed 624 innings and to date has amassed 15,143 Lancashire League runs at an average of 28.30 including 7 hundred’s and 98 50’s. Not a bad fielder too with 232 catches to date.

Add 41 Worsley Cup games a further 1019 runs, highest 107 average 30.87, 3 half centuries and 2 memorable tons back to back in the 2004 Semi & Final and it’s a career that appears like a fine wine to be getting better with age.

On 4th August 2013 fittingly at Lowerhouse Home ground Chris smashed through the 15,000 barrier and went onto make another 100 arguably his finest albeit no-one will forget his memorable knock in 2004 to bring home the club’s first trophy (link 2004 report)

Lancashire League T20 Sponsor’s Moorhouses products are now a permanent fixture behind the club’s bar and we’re delighted to announce that Moorhouses’s are celebrating Chris’s magnificent achievement in attaining 15,000 runs by commissioning a special brew “Bleazard’s Brilliance”

I think it’s safe to say Chris was delighted but a little overwhelmed when he turned up at the club this evening at a special press shoot earlier this evening

Bleazard’s Brilliance will be on sale until the end of the season at Lowerhouse CC
