Lowerhouse Cricket Club are delighted to announce the signing of Western Australia’s 27-year-old all-rounder AARON HEAL as professional for 2010.
Aaron is a left-hand bat and slow left-arm orthodox bowler. He has been a consistent performer since making his debut in 2004. He has a highest score of 81 not out in first class cricket and has the honour of claiming a ten-wicket haul at the traditionally pace-friendly WACA.
Aaron follows a succession of successful Australian professionals in recent years at Lowerhouse following in the footsteps of Ryan Harris, Andrew McDonald and Aaron O’Brien.
Cricket Chairman Stan Heaton says, “We are delighted that Dave Wren has been successful in acquiring us a top notch professional. We are very confident that Aaron will have a great season with us. He is a quality player and provides us with a very balanced all round attack. He should be able to benefit from his previous experience in the League .
Lowerhouse wish to thank Gary Hunt of Cric-Intro for his involvement in the signing.

Charlie Cottam will again captain the 1st XI in the 2010 season. It will be Charlie’s second full season at the helm after taking over from Jon Finch part way through the 2008 season.
Last season was a difficult one with the transition of younger players into the side to replace Will Driver and Hassan Khan and no full time professional throughout the season.
Phil Haggerty takes over as 2nd XI captain replacing the retiring Paul Stansfield who will take up the position of 1st XI manager.
There has been no selection for 3rd XI captain with a decision expected nearer the start of the season.
An announcement in relation to the professional for 2010 is expected very soon.
