A close finish at West End saw high flying East Lancs come away with a 4 run win.
East Lancs made 192-9 with captain Mark Bolton saving the innings after his side had stumbled to 79-6. Bolton hit six fours and a six. He was well supported by Andy Clague (12) and Sid Patel who made an unbeaten 28. Earlier on, John Turner made 28 and openers Dave Pearson, 21 and Minhaj Bhada, 18 in a stand of 42. Jonny Russell recorded 4-52 and the pro (4-67) .
Sid Patel 4-81 and sub pro Brenton Parchment 2-47 made early inroads after Jon Finch (19) and Jonny Whitehead had put on 24. After losing Chris Bleazard (16), the pro (16), Ben Heap (0) and skipper Charlie Cottam (9), House were really struggling at 104-6. Seventeen year-old Fergus Bailey came to the rescue with his maiden league half century. The youngster hit eight fours in hitting 63, adding 48 for the 7th wicket with Joe Beneduce (18). Patel removed Joe before Fergus was controversially run out and Joe Martin was run out with House needing 11 from the last over. Scorecard
