One for the History Books… 😬
We were recently tagged in a post by RawtenstallClaret on X that unearthed a rather painful slice of Lowerhouse history…
On 24th April 1926, Lowerhouse were bowled out by Rawtenstall in a match that might be best left tucked away in the archives!
While the exact details may be lost to time, it’s safe to say it wasn’t one for the highlight reel. Every club has its tough days, and this was certainly one of ours.
Still, it’s all part of the rich history that makes cricket, and Lowerhouse, what it is today. Thankfully, plenty has changed since then… including a few more runs on the board!
A reminder that no matter the era, cricket always has a way of keeping you grounded.
