1964: Flood corner

Three views of the ground after the heavy rain which hit Burnley on Saturday 18th July 1964. The scoreboard still shows the total from the previous home match, on 11th July v Ramsbottom, when Lowerhouse bowled Ramsbottom out for 79, and won, albeit losing six wickets in scoring 81. Full scorecard as always on Lancashire League website, which also shows that all the following Saturday’s fixtures, were a wash out with the exception of Bacup’s match.

Is that Brian Higgin at the front of the first image? The second image shows on the far left the corner of a shelter which stood on what is now car park, and the third shows Ken Smalley.
