1982: Hatrick debut for Evan Gray

Evan Gray who keeps in touch constantly was our professional in the 1982 season. He started off with a bang with a hatrick against Haslingden. Below is the cut out from the Burnley Express and the scorecard is here. 

We sent it to Evan yesterday and he said:

I remember my first game v Haslingdon which finished with a Hattrick (Brian Higgins stumping), and after two wickets I remember Clifford Atherton running towards the gates with a collection box to shut them and charge folk to get out. All very foreign to me. It was a fabulous year in my life and we were so close to winning second by a point. Good luck this year Stan looks like he has things humming.
