2 wins on the opening day!

The First Eleven finally got their 2018 underway, with a win away at one of the leagues 7 newcomers Milnrow.

House made 252 for 3 after the game was reduced to 44 overs due to a delayed start.

Captain Ben Heap continued his cracking form from last year hitting 144 and nearly carrying his bat, getting out in the last over. Pro Ocki got 30, Frankie returned with 27 not out and Joe Hawke 22 opening with Ben.

Bens 144 is the joint 8th highest Lowerhouse innings, equalling Ryan Harris’ knock in 2007 versus Rawtenstall.

In the second innings Lowerhouse tied Milnrow down early on and bowled them out for 93 with Joe Hawke taking 4, Ocki with 3, Frankie, Paddy and Toxy with 1 a piece. 12 points in the bag!

The Second eleven managed to whittle Milnrow to 42/7 when the rain came with 15 overs left. Tea was then called. The Seconds got back out after tea needing 45 off 25 due to Duckworth Lewis. They knocked them off with no wickets lost in just over 7 overs.
