A win for the House!

Lowerhouse beat Colne at the Horsefield today to take all 12 points. The second team also won in the reverse fixture.

n Finch had a fine all round day in Lowerhouse’s 40 run win at Colne. Finch hit fifteen fours in making 82 from 99 balls and he then took 4-65 from a 17 over stint. His 2nd wicket stand with Ben Heap was worth 119 runs with Heap making 74 from 108 balls with six fours and two sixes. Skipper Charlie Cottam hit an unbeaten 20, Joe Hawke 16 and Chris Bleazard 14 in the visitors 230-6. Paddy Martin also took 4-40 in Colne’s reply of 190. Sam Tillotson hit six fours and a six in his 81 ball knock of 57, professional Yaseen Vallie made 22 and Tom Bradshaw 15. With Colne struggling on 132-8 a 9th wicket stand of 44 proved to be the best of the innings with Danny Kegg hitting an unbeaten 35 and John Lambert making 14
