The whole of national cricket has an issue with umpire shortages. The Lancs League has a shortage on Saturdays in particular. As a league and a club we are appealing for people to volunteer. It’s a short course, done locally, paid for by the league, clothing provided free and a £50 – £60 match fee. Mentoring and guidance will be provided. No one will he thrown in at the deep end.
