Cricket chairman Stan Heaton said “This is very pleasing. It is so difficult to get into a county age group team. For each age group there will be a hundred plus trialists striving to take one of the half dozen or so places available to newcomers. Some have cemented their positions, some have raised themselves from the development team into the main squad and some are straight in .This is a credit to the youngsters for their efforts and application and to their families for the tremendous support needed. Commiserations go to the other trialists who didn’t get through and we hope that they continue to strive to achieve and continue to enjoy their cricket. Good luck to those still in the trial system

As the 2XI have developed as the season evolves, so too have the 3XI. The youthfulness of the 3XI is such that the club have not felt the need to run a 4XI. Many of the team this season have been under 14s who naturally have had their ups and downs. It is very pleasing to see that the team is on the up, with several moving on to 2XI cricket in a very short matter of a few weeks.
