The four semi-finalists who have successfully won through to the ‘Challenge Finals Day’ are Burnley Football Club, Aircelle, Unison EC and Warburtons and it promises to be a very competitive and entertaining conclusion to the competition.

The day will commence with the first semi-final being played at 1.00pm followed by a second semi-final. The final will take place around 4.45pm.

The Burnley Cricket Challenge has been developed and oragnised by a member of the Burnley Bondholder Scheme, Neville Gee Ltd, with the objective of providing employees of businesses in the town with an opportunity to represent their Company and compete with employees from other businesses for the title of Burnley Cricket Challenge Champions.

The competition has added focus for people in the town as all proceeds raised will be donated to Pendleside Hospice.

A great boost for the tournament has been the support shown by local sporting idol, Burnley FC’s Jay Rodriguez, who has agreed to present the winning team with the Burnley Cricket Challenge trophy. Jay has once again shown his support for the town and its people by taking time out of his busy sporting life to assist the tournament organisers in this way.

New Lancashire League Champions, Lowerhouse Cricket Club are once again providing the use of their facilities and cricket equipment to support and enable the success of the tournament.

The Finals Day will conclude with a presentation and buffet for the teams, followed by entertainment provided by the excellent Burnley band Steeros.

Entry is free on the day and the organisers, Neville Gee Ltd, are hoping for great weather to help boost the attendance and raise as much money as possible for their chosen charity, Pendleside Hospice.
