Class of ‘63 and ‘83

Class of 1963 with class of 1983. Stan Heaton with still sprightly Ken Smith at the ground today. Ken (80) had cycled from his home up Brunshaw. Topics for reminiscence included

• 1963 pro West Indian Pascal Roberts gold tooth and his reaction to the first time he saw snow
• The old stable next to the groundsman’s shed where the horse that pulled the roller was kept.
• The big shoes the horse wore to prevent marking the pitch
