SENIOR RESULTS

LHCC 2XI 148 – All out                   Rishton 2XI – 150- 3

Phil Haggerty 49                         Matt Marquis 3-31

Jack Edgar 31

Kieran Tighe 16

With a couple of notable exceptions this was a poor batting display

Haslingden 2XI 110- all out            LHCC 2XI 112 – 1

Oli Bayliff 3-22                      Lewis Marsden 56*

Micky Lee 3-34                        Jonny Whitehead 27

Scott Hope 2-9                        Phil Haggerty 15*

If ever a game demonstrated how good the team can be – this was it. The bowling was superb with the ball beating the bat repeatedly especially from Scott Hope’s 14 overs for 9 runs. Shaun Heaton 10-15-1 and Kieran Tighe 5-8-0.

LHCC 3XI 131 – all out – Church 3XI – 133 – 1

Ben Gorton 38

Josh Lavin 38

A bizarre game. With the 2 notable exceptions it was a toss up which was worse – the Church bowling or the LHCC batting . The answer would have to be the latter, to be dismissed for such a score off such poor bowling. Incredibly Church took until the penultimate over to win by 9 wickets . This was their first win of the season. It does not come any worse than this performance.
