LHCC 3XI 116 all out                 Rawtenstall 3XI 117 for 5

Joe Bayliff 40

Will Norcross 28

Danny Starkie 12

With an average age gap of 5 years this was a tough challenge for Lowerhouse mainly under 15 side but manager Stan Heaton was very pleased with the side’s efforts. The main run scoring was done by 2 later order under 15s who played some glorious shots. Danny Starkie and Jimmy Ridehalgh helped both run scorers by sticking with them after a disastrous start (60-6). The side was all out with just an over to go. The bowlers too stuck to their task with Captain Corey Hope marshalling his team well. All the wickets were shared round with Joe Bayliff taking an excellent boundary catch. As more players become available the side will have slightly older heads in it to assist the youngsters.
