LHCC U17 85-4                           Darwen 83-4

Max Humberstone 36                    Rhys Woodworth 2-6

Josh Lavin 30

A very tight game with the house managing to defend a 16 over score. With 11 needed off the last over Ismail Khalil kept the runs down to 9

LHCC U15 Sharks 102- 4                                    Nelson u15 – 87 – 8

Matt Locke 41*                                                       Shannon Jackson 3-7

Ben Gorton 24                                                         Jamie Woodall 2-9

Jamie Woodall 10                                                    Ronan Moorhouse 2-24

A decent batting performance followed by an incisive bowling performance to take some crucial wickets.

Accrington u15 128- all out LHCC u15 Dolphins 98-6 – matches abandoned

Liam Heaton 4-21                                   Ben Gorton 50*

Harry Spark 11*

The strange decision by Accrington to insist on a 20 over match saw LHCC bat in several overs of gloom before calling a halt with 5 overs remaining. Ben Gorton continues to hold the batting together although the failing light contributed to several dismissals

PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK

Burnley u13 248- 4                                   LHCC U13 Tigers 259-4

Dec Stansfield 2-14                                    Dec Stansfield 20*

MattyAnderson12*

Hannah Till 11*

Thus was only the second win of the season for the Tigers and was a strong candidate for performance of the season for any LHCC junior side. Good bowling and fielding and excellent batting partnerships brought a good win against a strong Burnley side. Man of the match Dec Stansfield upheld the Stansfield tradition of good bowling and patient batting but deviated from the family script by launching two sensational sixes over square and holding on to junior catch of the season on the deep square boundary edge .

Accrington u13 239 – 4                        LHCC 13 Jaguars 210 – 6

Toby Carney – Stott 2-9                      James Wheatcroft 14

As Accrington merrily inside edged and mishit countless runs, the Jaguars paid for every single mistake. Highlight of the night was the catching of newcomer Marcus Preedy.

Salisbury u13 246 -5                                             LHCC u13 Jaguars   221- 4

Laura Burrows 2-7

The team had put in a generally good bowling performance against an A team but still suffer from a lack of awareness, often drifting off in the field. Marcus Preedy took a wicket on his début for the club.

Haslingden U9 229-4                               LHCC u9 230 – 1

JamesBridge2-7

Although the tight bowling and an excellent catch from the emerging Kheiro Chir helped, the key to this game was the preservation of wickets. Well done to Bria Coates on her wicket keeping debut
