Lowerhouse have lost the services of first teamer Stuart Grant who will team up with Hasan Khan at Sale CC.

‘Unfortunately for Stuart due to transport and work difficulties he was finding it difficult to attend key training and this was affecting his position in the team. He has been a great lad to have at the club and we wish him well’

Incoming – Matt Collins formerly of Littleborough. Matt is a young lad who is a genuine all rounder and joins us having spent time with the Queensland Academy. We are very pleased to have him choose us as a number of other clubs were under consideration.

County under 13 girl Maddy White teams up with other members of the county girls already at the club

Congratulations to Hannah Till who has been selected for the Lancashire tour of South Africa in 2010. Hannah is the county under 13 vice captain. Hannah Thompson and Ainslie Wolstenholme have also been selected for the County under 13s with Georgia Clough representing the County under 11s.

Patrick Martin has been selected for the County under 17s.

Oliver Bayliff and Joe Martin have been selected for the County under 15 B team .

Declan Bailey has been selected for the County under 14s.

This was a good performance by the youngsters against a strong Burnley team. Rhys Woodworth (15) produced a fine all round performance. Max Humberstone had a good start on his debut, as did Ismael Khali with 2 wickets after his debut 2 wickets last week

The first game of the season for the B team produced a resounding defeat at the hands of Salisbury’s main team. Although enthusiasm abounded first game nerves led to some naivety. Rachel Stracey’s wicket keeping being the highlight.
