Cricket actually does return! An update…

We updated you earlier this week in regards the cancellation of our friendlies pre-arranged for this weekend.

Just to reiterate, this was based on advice provided to our Executive from the LCF as a recommendation from the Government/ECB

Its important to remember that these are extremely difficult decisions to make and each day we ‘cricket club volunteer administrators’ are having the unenviable task for making them in this we fully support the Lancashire League Executive

We respect why the request was being made and understand the concerns currently arising within the County hence reluctantly this weekend’s games remain cancelled our apologies to all.

That said and having revisited risk assessments our intention at this moment is that next weekends friendlies will go ahead pending further review early next week

In the interim we have now organised internal games within the club as follows:

This Weekend:

On Sunday the club will now run an internal Cricket Fest with 3rdX1 & 4thX1 squad’s playing from 10.30am and then 1st & 2ndX1 squads taking the field mid-afternoon likely 3.00pm this will allow our teams to expand practice and also familiarise themselves with the new rules and procedures surrounding the return of the recreational game

Rules & Guidance Bar:

One-way entry up the steps via the main clubhouse door with all exits via the fire exit at the bottom of the clubhouse (no exceptions please)

Hand Sanitiser will be available at the entry and is mandatory before entry to the clubhouse

Children are always welcome at Lowerhouse CC however all must be supervised by an adult and you must ensure they always adhere to social distancing rules

We have had to reconfigure the club seating and reduce capacity which will allow for social distancing, note tables will be allocated on a first come -first served basis.  

No moving of furniture is allowed as this will alter the configuration and capacity levels available to us. Please wait to be seated as staff will need to clean tables between customers

Customers will be advised of how and where to order from the bar and where the collection of their order will be facilitated. Fresh glasses to be always used (no refills) 

Customers are reminded to stay seated and not ‘mingle’ to ensure social distancing is complied with.

To comply with Track & Trace an appropriate log sheet will be completed by the bar staff when you complete your initial order. This information will be kept for 21 days before being appropriately destroyed in line with Data Protection requirements 

 

All customers must maintain social distancing this means:

INSIDE: A maximum group of 4 people inside (from 2 households only)

OUTSIDE: A maximum group of 6 people from any household

 

All alcohol consumed (inside or outside) MUST be bought from the club. 

Contactless Payments are preferred however facilities to pay by cash will be available.

All Members cards have now been loaded with 2020 Members credits for early payment of subs

Toilets will operate on a 1 in 1 out basis in both Ladies and Gents except where small children can be accompanied by an adult. Hand Sanitiser will be available on entry and again mandatory.

A maximum of four socially distanced customers in the tea-room at one time

Take away only.

Staff will dispense condiments no help yourself including milk, sugar for teas, coffee

Please allow staff to get can’s and kids cup’s drinks from ‘refrigerators’ no help yourself
