On Tuesday 28th April , at 5 p.m., the club will celebrate the grand opening of the outdoor nets, the biggest practice area of its kind in the United Kingdom.
The area consists of six artificial practice lanes, and has been funded by the ECB and the club – a reward for the great work undertaken by Lowerhouse in junior cricket within the region. The nets were built at a cost of £93,000.
The club currently has 130 juniors in 10 junior sides, and three senior sides.
The opening ceremony will be completed by David Lloyd, and other cricket dignitaries including representatives from the Lancashire Cricket Board will also be present.
