On Saturday Lowerhouse are expected to send a strong team to Dill Hall Lane to take on Enfield in the first game of a crucial double header weekend.

This weekend is crucial to the hopes of the House in finishing high in the table. Joe Hawke is away and Scott Hope is a slight doubt with an ankle injury. Long term absentees Jonny Russell and Chris Benbow are also missing. Chris Bleazard will hope to have his first knock since returning from his calf injury and pro Aaron O’Brien will hope that the rain ceases so that he can do what he came here to do, PLAY CRICKET!!

As for Enfield, after another strong start, they have had something of a mixed bag season. They sit one place and one point below the House in tenth place with 7 wins, 8 defeats and 5 no results to date.

From their ranks, their pro is New Zealander, Brandon Hiini (Canterbury).Hiini has scored 386 runs in 16 knocks at an average of 25.73 with an high score of 74. His bowling which is described as medium fast has yielded 36 wickets at 19.08 with a best of 6-71.

In the Seconds, Lowerhouse entertain Enfield hoping to finish the season well and secure the runners up spot. Ramsbottom have the league all but sewn up but a win against Enfield for the 2’s will set up Sundays derby against Burnley very nicely as both sides share second place on equal points of 125.
