Family and Success: Salpietro Confirms Lowerhouse Return

Lowerhouse Cricket are delighted to confirm that professional Daniel Salpietro will return for a third season in 2026.

After two hugely successful campaigns that have seen the memorable 2024 Worsley Cup win and this years league title, Dan has become a hugely popular figure around the club and we are thrilled that he will be a part of the club in 2026 and hopefully beyond.

Managing Director Matthew Stansfield commented “Sometimes a pro comes along that is a perfect fit for a club and Dan has proven to be that for Lowerhouse. Not just his on field contribution but everything that he brings off it. Dan has been a massive part of our recent success and along with his family, is now a huge part of our club. It will be great to have them all with us again in 2026”.

Dan himself said “When we first decided to join Lowerhouse Cricket Club, the reasons behind the move were clear — finding a safe and thriving environment for our family, and ultimately helping drive success both on and off the field. With both of these being achieved, we couldn’t be happier with the opportunity the club has given us and the way we’ve been embraced.

My wife Jackie, and our children Layla, Ava, and Caleb have all become an integral part of the club and community, which makes the experience even more special.

From a playing point of view, the dressing room culture we have created over the past two years is truly something special, and I’m very thankful for the support I receive from my playing group.

That’s why continuing with Lowerhouse is an easy decision for us, and we’re already really looking forward to Season 2026”.

We now look forward to the remaining games of this season before we start preparing for 2026 and the defence of our Lancashire League title
