Great start..
The First and Second team started with wins on Sunday in the league openers.
The First eleven beat Todmorden with Blez and Finchy returning from Saturdays side, replacing Ben Uttley and Caleb.
House got off to an amazing start, amassing nearly 70 for 0 in the first 10 overs between Ben and Jonny. Jonny went on to make his first league half century upon return. He finished on 74 edging ever closer to 3,000 runs and entry into the Hall of Fame.
We made 204 for 6 off our 50. Todmorden only managed 183 for 9 with Ocki in the wickets taking 4.
The Second team made easy work of their opener against Rawtenstall. We batted first and were 216 all out off 44 overs. Lewis Marsden made 60 and Jack Simm 44.
A welcome return from Lowerhouse ex first team trophy winning Captain Matt Hope saw them bowl Rawtenstall out for 94. Matt took his first Lowerhouse 5 wicket haul since 2005!
