Hassan Passes 500 in Victory at Tod!

The lads continued their good run of form with a comfortable victory over cup finalists Todmorden at Centre Vale on Saturday.

Lowerhouse now sit in third just 5 points behind second placed Rawtenstall who lost against Enfield but 26 behind league leaders Accrington who won against Bacup.

House recorded a 47 run win but were unable to secure the two vital bonus points.  After winning the toss skipper Cottam who had returned from holiday only an hour or so before the start of play decided  to bat.  Half centuries by the in form Will Driver (58) and Hassan Khan (58) helped the lads post 205-7.  Hassan now has 532 runs for the season including 5 half centuries. Will and Hass received good support from the resurgent Joe Beneduce (31) and Jon Finch (24).

A rain interruption did not help House in their quest for taking the full 12 points.  Todmorden were set a revised target of 184 from 43 overs after a rain stoppage.  They were restricted to 137-7. Andrew Sutcliffe hit 35, Mark Clayton an unbeaten 25 and Ben Sutcliffe 20. The pro was again the pick of the bowlers collecting 5-44.
