Heritage Open Day

Lowerhouse CC member Clive Spencer will be hosting the Heritage Open Day at Habergham All Saints on Saturday 8th September from 1 – 4 pm with an exhibition of photos showing the 1908 Gawthorpe May Festival, an opportunity to see the many memorials, stained glass windows etc. which link the Church to the Shuttleworths but also to Lowerhouse. Tommy Shutt, legendary player for Lowerhouse and other clubs (Lowerhouse 1893-1925), is buried in the graveyard, although his name does not appear on the headstone.
