House beat Church but cup is washed out!

House for the fifth match in a row in a rain affected tie at Church. House posted 158-8 with solid knocks from the pro (35), Blez (26), Tosh (24) and Ferg (23 not out). Church pro and former Lowerhouse sub Saeed Anwar took 5-53.

Rain reduced the Church target but when a second interruption occurred play did not resume leaving Church 23 runs short on 93-8. Jon Finch proved to be the match winner with 5-35.

There was no play at all in the cup game at Colne on Sunday with that tie now rescheduled for Saturday 28th May making it a Colne double header over the Bank Holiday weekend.
