Jonnys Marathon for Mind

Lowerhouse Hall of Famer Jonathan Whitehead is running the London Marathon 2025 raising money for mental health charity MIND.

Jonny said:

I am excited to announce that I will be running in the London Marathon 2025 supporting the vital work of a charity that is very close to my heart, Mind UK.

Mind UK is a leading mental health charity in England and Wales, and has been supporting mental health for over 75 years. Its mission is to support anyone experiencing mental health problems and to advocate for improved mental health services.

Funded primarily by donations and fundraising activities, Mind plays a crucial role in promoting mental well-being and ensuring that everyone has access to the help they need.

Mental health is a cause that impacts us all in different ways and becomes incredibly difficult to witness loved ones so close to you suffer. My personal connection to this cause stems from the battles my Dad has had, and I often struggle to put into words what sort of impact this has had on my life, but given how much my Dad means to me, my absolute hero, and an irreplaceable friend who’s moulded me into the man I am today and so, I thought I’d love nothing more than to put myself through it and run a marathon in aid of him.

My goal is to raise £2,200 and will be able to take donation until the 25th of July 2025.

Thank you for your support.
