2XI RESULTS

Both 2XI and the 3XI fixtures were washed out last weekend without a bowl being bowled

Off – field news

Thanks this week to Brian Shaw for edging off the boundary and to the usual ground staff; Squadron leader Peter Taylor on the tractor mower, Dave Waddington and Vinnie Whittaker, ground and machinery.

I would also like to thank Adam Hope for his great work with the website and now as our Play – Cricket administrator.

Cricket matters

Congratulations to Grace Johnstone who has broken into the County u11 girls and joins our other girls in the County system. Namely, Liberty Heap (11s), Kerry and Emily Gibbins (13s and 17s respectively), Annabelle Uttley (13s) and Georgie Holt (15s and women’s senior team).

Grace only joined the club last season and played 2 games in the under 9s. Great credit to her and coach Eric Haworth in achieving this standard so soon
