A disappointing end to a fantastic cup run. Only a 75% batting display was needed but for the first time this season the batting failed.

Nott’s Unity went on to win the regional final, inflicting a heavy defeat on the Derbyshire champions.

Despite Matt Walker’s 50 not out, an experimental LHCC team lost the 3rd place play off to Chester –le- Street.

An opening game victory for the girls. Jodie Sutcliffe (LHCC) was the wicket taker with all 8 bowlers keeping the runs down.  An opening stand of 36 from Shannon Jackson (LHCC) and Hannah Thompson (LHCC) paved the way for victory.

A day for records at the West End.  Brought in to shore the early order up, 15 year old Joe Martin made 51 on his second XI debut. Never having batted with elder brother, 16 year old Patrick (89)  before the two went on to record a 113 stand with Patrick top scoring for the team.  Patrick then recorded remarkabale bowling figures of 5 overs, 5 maidens, 3 wickets for zero runs!
