East Lancs 2XI 152 all out                      LHCC 2XI 156 – 3

Josh Lavin 3-47                              Dec Bailey 67

Oliver Bayliff 2-20                          Matt Walker 63*

Corey Hope 2-20

Rhys Woodworth 2-36

Having bowled well, the Lowerhouse innings featured 2 extremely good kno0cks from in form Dec Bailey and Matt Walker as he moves towards full fitness. Dec bailey can consider himself most unfortunate to have been caught off a full blooded drive which hit Matt Walker at the non-strikers end and lobbed into the bowler’s hands.

Burnley 2XI 190 all out                      LHCC 2XI 191 – 8

Scott Hope 4-41                             Matt Walker 43

Kieran Tighe 2-41                           Ben Gorton 24

 Will Norcross 18

Scott Hope 17

 Phil Haggerty 16

This usually keenly fought contest went right to the wire as the game ebbed and flowed. Skipper Lewis Marsden will have been pleased to restrict the Burnley shot players to under 200.The batsman made steady inroads into the Burnley total and may well have won comfortably but for repeatedly throwing their wickets away when in a good position. The 43rd over of the Lowerhouse innings proved crucial as debutant will Norcross took 16 off the over to bring the total within reach

LHCC 4XI 164 all out                Radcliffe 3XI 150 all out

Tom Nicholas 57                    Tom Bridge 8-19-5

Joe Halstead 44                    Zeeshan Mukhtar 2-26

Joey Stein 25

Zeeshan Mukhtar 15

An opening stand of 77 went a long way to securing victory although the loss of 7 wickets for 30 runs left a tinge of disappointment. Well done to the boys for a tight bowling performance with Tom Bridge pick of the bowlers.

Rishton 3XI 230 – 8                     Lowerhouse 4XI 69 all out

Tom Bridge 2-34                         Joey Stein 15

Harrison Smith 2-34                     Alec Claridge – Ingham 14*

  John Nicholas 10

The youngsters toiled badly against a very strong Rishton 3XI. Most disappointing was the inability of the lads to bat with any sense of responsibility. Harsh words were had and the boys must respond
