A youthful looking Lowerhouse Second team got off to a great start with 12 points against a Bacup side with formidable ex First Team cricketers present.

A 62 stand between Johnny Whitehead and Joe Martin steadied the ship after a crazy run out. Martin (14) and Phil Edmondson then put on 118 for the 3rd wicket to set a decent total.

The match was always close but keen fielding and great catching saw the team home with Joe Martin taking a stumping to give Mickey Lee his hat trick and 6th wicket
