LOWERHOUSE CC MATCH REPORTS
SENIOR RESULTS
East Lancs 2XI 166 – 9 LHCC 2XI 123 all out
Matt Marquis 3-36 Scott Hope 27
Shaun Heaton 2-17 Jonny Whitehead 21
Dec Bailey 21
Having restricted the opposition to a very gettable score, the Lowerhouse batsmen left spectators agog with their lemming like procession over the cliffs of recklessness. Big shot after big shot finished in the grateful hands of the East lancs fielders. It was left to a 22 run partnership between Heaton and Tighe to rescue any points. To add insult – 15 overs still remained.

The gulf between an under 15 A team and an under 14 B team was cruelly exposed in this game. Ben Gorton’s usual anchorage was sorely missed

Alex Claridge Ingham 3-11 Jake Seddon 15*

Nelson are a big powerful hitting outfit but had the team been able to stick to the game plan a win would have followed. Loose forward defensive shots being the main failing.
