Lowerhouse cruise to easy win in Lancashire Cup
Today saw us take on Ribblesdale League runners up Read.
Lowerhouse won the toss and elected to field, with Read putting on 40 before losing their first wicket. After the first went, this saw a collapse and Read were bowled out for 89. Joe Hawke took 1 for 18, Fergus Bailey with 2 for 22, Paddy Martin with 2 for 7, Matt Walker with 2 for 21 and Francois taking the bulk of the wickets with 3 for 17.
The lads built a steady innings with Joe Hawke being the backbone, hitting an enourmous six towards the scoreboard, before getting bowled the next ball on 49. Lowerhouse finished 89 for 4 after 29.4 overs and claimed a win in the Lancashire Cup!
