Martin is PCA PLayer Of The Year!!

Former House professional and batting record holder Martin van Jaarsveld has been named the Professional Cricketers’ Association Player of the Year.

A former South African international cricketer, Martin now a Kolpak player with Kent scored more than 1000 runs in the County Championship but was unable to prevent Rob Key’s men  being relegated. He was also prolific in limited-overs cricket, cracking four centuries and 660 runs in nine innings as Kent reached the Friends Provident Trophy final which they lost to Essex.

Martin (pictured below) currently holds the Lowerhouse Professional batting record having notched 1260 runs in the 1999 season.
