SENIOR RESULTS

Haslingden 2XI 202 – all out        LHCC 2XI 93- all out

Jack Edgar 5-51                    Josh Lavin 17

Mickey Lee 2-32                     Rhys Woodworth 16

Ben Gorton 14

Jack Edgar 11

The relief of keeping the Haslingden score down to just over 200 did not last long as wickets tumbled regularly as the run rate constantly increased .Earlier in the day it appeared that Haslingden would record 300 but the return of Mickey Lee to active cricket and Jack Edgar’s second spell clawed the game back. Unfortunately the batsmen had no answer to a Haslingden side that are potential second eleven champions

East Lancs 3XI 202-7                        LHCC 3XI 191 – all out

                                                               Will Norcross 44

Joe Gray 4-48                               Ben Gorton 38

Jimmy Ridehalgh 3-16                        Jamie Woodall 33*

Jamie Woodall 2-32                          Joe Bayliff 27

                                            James Ridehalgh 18

Once again the management went home happy despite a defeat with the spirited way in which this largely under 15 tyean went about the match. Against a team with a much higher average age the boys stuck to the task in the filed with James Ridehalgh taking two good catches at mid-wicket. The bowlers toiled in searing heat with Joe Gray most successful

Young Jimmy shared in a 65 opening stand with Ben Gorton and good knocks from the above mentioned took the team to within reach before inexperience saw Norcross run out . Woodall restored hope with some well-timed strokes to all corners of the ground but ran out of partners.

Michael Rogan 18*                                                    Ewan Macadam 2-16

The first competitive match for the under 15s 3XI saw them take on Longridge u15 2XI. Debutants MacAdam and Zaman got off to a good start although the others in the team will know that they will face much stiffer tests. Joe Halstead and Jack Moodie from the 13s also distinguished themselves.

Joe Halstead 4-11                                   Joe Halstead 25

The difference in this game was the 28 margin between the extras we gave away compared to Ramsbottom – all the result of poor bowling.

Jack Moodie 16                                                Ryan Starkie 3-10

Ross Birchall 13                                                                ]

Jess Nixon 11*

Georgia Clough 11*

Seconds v Thirds in these close together league matches which would have been closer but for the errors of judgement made by the Cougars in surrendering wickets. The difference in scores in the 2 games can be put down to the pitch improving in the better weather.

LHCC u11 Bears 266-4                                      East Lancs 229 -6

Ben Woodall 12                                                 Rowan Greenwood 2-8

Jack Simm 11

Rowan Greenwood 10*

Caleb Greenhalgh 10*

Josh Moodie 11

The Bears seem to be putting performances together now after a patchy start to the season. All 3 disciplines were very effective especially the fielding.

Anthony Barrett 3-2                                         Aman Singh 21
