The 2s maintained their 100% record with 2 victories despite the injury situation. With 3 main players injured in the senior squads the club elevated 14 year olds Tom Bridge and Joseph Halstead from the 3XI. The youngsters responded magnificently with both wickets and runs. The whole weekend was a true team effort and is a hugely encouraging start.

The innings was stuttering until Will Norcross played a quite magnificent innings. A late boost from a 40 stand from Gorton and Wheatcroft saw a respectable total that proved too much for Haslingden despite a good start

After a solid batting display Jake Turner turned the game in our favour with 2 wickets in 2 balls. Rishton needed 4 off the last ball but after smart thinking from keeper Aman Singh and bowler Yousaf Nadeem a run out secured victory
