New Lowerhouse President

Lowerhouse Cricket would like to announce the appointment of Harry Brooks as the new Club President. The role of President has been vacant since the untimely passing of David Wren in January but is now being filled by Honorary Life Patron Harry Brooks. Harry said “I’m delighted to be asked to accept the Lowerhouse Presidency and very conscious that I’m following on from great servants of the club in Jack Hayes and of course David Wren, who left us so sadly and prematurely at the beginning of this year.   Lowerhouse is a model club, impeccably led and well organised, an example indeed to all the others in the Lancashire League in its great work on player development and the manner in which it follows the letter and spirit of the League rules.

Managing Director Matthew Stansfield commented “I am extremely pleased that Harry has agreed to take on the role of President and and fill the huge hole left by the passing of David Wren. Harry has been associated with Lowerhouse Cricket Club for many years and his ever growing financial commitment to the club, in the shape of the very successful Harry Brooks Cricket Foundation, allows us to continue our investment in both junior cricket and our facilities. I know that Harry is very keen to provide insight and support to myself and my fellow directors and I look forward to working closely with him’
