An opening victory for the 3rd XI campaign won by the opening bowlers who had Rishton reduced to 28-6

An excellent victory which saw the last 7 Nelson wickets lost for 15 runs. Bayliff and Marquis hitting the stumps on 6 occasions following a magnificent Woodworth catch to remove the dangerous Willan. An unfortunate knee injury to opening bat Jack Edgar saw him hospitalised. 7 overs were lost whilst the ambulance attended. Bailey and Whitehead went on to play magnificently with shots to all corners of the ground. A stand of 121 sealed the victory.
Best wishes to Jack 9 140 who will be out of action for several weeks.

The Lancashire Junior League Cup final was lost in unfortunate circumstances with a number of things going against LHCC. The bottom line however was that the bowling and fielding left much to be desired and gave the batsmen a tough task
