Rain delays and back to winnings ways…

Fridays Twenty20 versus Burnley was a wash out without a ball being bowled. The same fate struck the Fourth team on Saturday versus Haslingden at home.

Dec Stansfield put a match winning performance in for the second team on Sunday though, bowling East Lancs out for 66. Dec got a career best (and best by a Lowerhouser this season) of 9.3 overs 8 wickets for just 16 runs. Haggers and Henri Cottam knocked the runs off in just 15 overs (with a help of 24 extras!) and 12 points were in the bag. The second team sit nicely in 3rd place in the league. Full scorecard here

The first team won in a rain affected game at Crompton – there were 3 rain breaks, with the latter ending proceedings. Crompton were all out for 104 from 38.3 overs. Paddy starred with the ball taking 5 wickets. House won on run rate after the rain stopped play, they were well ahead on Duckworth Lewis at 69-1 off 22. Full scorecard here
