LOWERHOUSE CC MATCH REPORTS

SENIOR RESULTS

Lowerhouse 2XI 154 – all out Ramsbottom 2XI 155- 1

Jack Edgar 64
Oli Bayliff 23
Corey Hope 11

Lowerhouse bowed out of the cup on a day when the vagaries of availability hit them hard. The holiday depletions left the team 4 key players down whilst crucially the absence of a first eleven game allowed Ramsbottom to pick all eligible players

Rishton 2XI 82 all out LHCC 2XI 82-3

Jack Edgar 6-18 Phil Haggerty 30*
Kieran Tighe 3-29 Ben Gorton 20
Dec Bailey 17*

Jack Edgar continues to fulfil his undoubted promise with another collection to his name – this time for bowling

Accrington 3XI 172-all out LHCC 3XI 146 – all out

Harry Spark 3-26 Will Norcross 47
Joe Gray 3-33 Matt Locke 30
Danny Starkie 2-33

The difference between the sides was undoubtedly the bowling of the Accrington senior man and the second team opening bowler who although only a youngster is a fine bowler. Between them the 19 overs 7 for 34 wrecked the first half of the batting though the middle order pulled the game round to secure some batting points to add to the bowling points. Will Norcross continues his fine form. Earlier tidy bowling from all the bowlers gave a chasable score. The game saw the unusual incident of the ball striking the keepers helmet in its position behind the wickets for a 5 run penalty
