Senior & Junior Match Reports 23rd August 2012

SENIOR RESULTS

Rawtenstall 2XI 81 – 6           LHCC 2XI 82 – 1

Mickey Lee 2-27                  Phil Haggerty 59*

Scott Hope 2- 61

Now unbeaten in 12 with 10 wins, and a 4th consecutive 9 wicket victory, the 2s hopefully stole a march on rivals Nelson and Haslingden as they managed to get a 24 over game in whilst other matches perished as a result of the showers. Rawtenstall were restricted in their innings and only some late hitting gave them any total at all. Phil Haggerty continued his fine form with a series of excocet drives.

LHCC 3XI 151 – 4    Colne 3XI 134-10

Rhys Woodworth 65*     Corey Hope 3 – 20

Harry Spark 34         Shaun Heaton 2-29

Will Norcross 18*

Corey hope 10

The youngsters halted Colne’s surge up the table with a patient batting display and some excellent catching in the face of some belligerent hitting from the Colne batsmen. Featuring young first team players Colne are a handful and this was yet another great team effort.

Lowerhouse u13 (3) and (4) have been on the receiving end of some drubbings at the hands of Accrington’s 13s team but the boot was on the other foot with this comprehensive victory for the 2s.

LHCC U11 Bears 236-5                                           Longridge u11 (1) 240 – 7

                                                                                  Caleb Greenhalgh 2-2

A poor batting performance and undisciplined fielding performance contributed to this defeat.

Accrington u11 238- 4                                            LHCC U11 Cubs 277-1

Yanis Chir  18*                                                         Brooklyn Dobbie 2-12

Dylan Taylor 11*

A comprehensive victory and top all round team performance with under 9s Singh and bridge playing very well indeed with 9 off their 4 overs only and an unbeasten 13 partnership.

Haslingden u11 (B) 197- 7                                           LHCC u11 Koalas 221-3

                                                                                      James Bridge 12*

                                                                                      Ben Corbett 10*

A great all round performance by the 3s – All bowlers taking one wicket with Elliott Boult taking his debut wicket.
