Statement: COVID-19 Postponement

Sadly, we have today had to inform the Lancashire League that the entirety of Saturday’s First Eleven team for the fixture at Norden have today received track and trace instructions to self-isolate for ten days from yesterday (Sunday morning).

The circumstances are that one of our player’s  felt unwell towards the end of the game at Norden and went straight home afterwards. He tested Sunday morning and is positive on the PCR test.

As a committee we have taken the decision to cancel all senior cricket activity at Lowerhouse this coming week subsequently the following games involving Lowerhouse CC have been postponed

Lancashire League Executive have now confirmed the following senior games are now cancelled pending potential re-arrangement or re-scheduling with all three clubs advised

Saturday First Eleven v Middleton Home League

Saturday Second Eleven v Haslingden Away League

Sunday First Eleven v Walsden – Worsley Cup

Note: Sunday Clitheroe Fourth Eleven v Lowerhouse Third Eleven is pending confirmation of ‘contacts’

This is a very real reminder to everyone that this pandemic is far from over, we wish the player involved a speedy recovery and our thoughts are with the rest of the boys at this time
