T20 win, then the rain came – Weekend Roundup
Lowerhouse continued winning ways in the Twenty20 campaign against Church on Friday night after a 43 run win at Church. Tom Walker hit an unbeaten 48 and Francois made 34 in Lowerhouse’s 117-4. Tom then took 2-7 to help restrict Church to 74-5.
On Saturday the Fourth Eleven took on Accrington at home – a bad day at the office. House were bowled out for 50 off 25.5, with Accrginton knocking them off 4 down off 17.1 overs.
The Third eleven came away with a win on Saturday beating Crompton away. Lowerhouse won the toss and fielded first, bowling Crompton out for 151. Ky-Mani Cain and Oliver Williams took 3 wickets a piece, with Robson and Joe Egdar taking 2 each. House chased the total off 31.2 overs with Afraz Ali hitting 76 off 60 balls.
On Sunday, the Firsts and Seconds games were washed out. The firsts got Rochdale in a sticky 49/8 when the rain came and the Seconds were 187/5 off 34…
