The Euros at Lowerhouse

On behalf of everyone involved at Lowerhouse Cricket Club we want to take the opportunity to thank you all for your custom over the past month during the  Euros.

I hope you have enjoyed your visits to the club as much as we have enjoyed having you and we hope to see you again for the remainder of the cricket season.

Whilst the final result was disappointing, we have had a terrific time following our country’s progress, planning, delivering seating plans and table service with the current restrictions has tested our resolve and we are extremely grateful for everyones patience and co-operation in complying with our requests both inside and outside of the club.

It would be remiss of me not to mention and pay special thanks and tribute to our wonderful bar staff who have delivered ‘literally’ game after game. They have been challenged to the hilt but come up trumps every time, we are brimming with pride for the work you do/

I have said before and repeat ‘They are the clubs greatest asset’

Finally,

As a Club we’re disgusted that some of our England squad – who have given everything for the shirt this summer – have been subjected to discriminatory abuse online after last night’s game. Quite simply – there is no place for racism in our society. Take a defeat on the chin and loss with pride, do not take it out on someone else.
