Umpires Needed

As most Clubs are aware, we have a national shortage of Umpires. We are asking all Clubs in the Lancashire League to help in a small way to address the balance.

Nigel Tench has organised Umpire courses. at Haslingden Cricket Club. The Stage 1 is a basic introductory course to enable new potential umpires to officiate junior and 3rd XI games, and Stage 2 to umpire up to Lancashire League standard.

The Stage 1 course is on November 3rd at Haslingden from 0930 to 1600.

The Stage 2 course is on November 17th at Haslingden from 0930 to 1600 and Sunday November 24th from 0930 to 1230.

The cost of each course is £30, but if a Stage 2 is taken as well as the Stage 1 the total cost is only £40 for the two.

Both courses are ideal for existing umpires who wish to refresh their knowledge of the laws.
